The first hotel designed to express a lifestyle evoked in "Country Living" magazine, while offering guests the facilities and flexibility expected for 21st century relaxation.
We softened the traditional hierarchy of spaces between front and back of house, to create a more welcoming and informal guest experience.
The historic building in Georgian style and traditional Bath stone offered a very fitting backdrop but presented challenges. Our finishes palette blended airy Palladian shades with more earthy, countryside hues while designs for the bar & other joinery and the various furniture, fabrics and lighting, maintained clear references to heritage.
